Do you have questions about renting or owning storage units? Look no further, Storage WORKS Cumberland has compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help make your experience as smooth as possible. Click on the question below to reveal the answer.

Do I bring my own storage lock?

Not necessary. We will provide you with two keys for easy access.
How often can I access my storage unit?

Owners will have unlimited access. 7 days a week, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day Renters access is Monday to Saturday 8 am to 8 pm; Sunday 9 am to 8 pm. Special arrangements for additional access can be made through Storage Works.
Can I share access to my storage unit?

Yes, all you need to do is authorize the appropriate family member, friend or employee on the lease agreement. Storage Works will not provide additional access codes. All visitors must be met at the gate.
Do I have to sign a contract in order to rent a space?

Yes, you will be required to sign a rental agreement at move-in, which continues on a month-to-month basis until you decide to move out.
What type of documentation do I need to rent space?

Promo codes will require ID documentation ( firefighter, military).
Can I complete an online rental on behalf of my business or company?

Yes, simply complete form 01 Waitlist/Onboarding form. We will contact you once this is received. A business licence will be required after your receive confirmation of acceptance. The business must comply with the Village of Cumberland's bylaws.
Are there any age restrictions for renting storage?

Yes, you must be of legal age which is 19 years old in British Columbia.
How do I pay for self-storage?

Payment is easy. You can make payments through our online payment portal managed by STRIPE. Monthly deductions will be charged to your credit credit, or debit card on your anniversary date (possession date) each month. The STRIPE SYSTEM works with many credit cards including but not limited to Visa, Master Card, American Express or bank transfers. As a extra bonus if you decide to sign a pre-paid one year's lease we will offer a 10% discount.
Is it possible to complete online reservation under my own name but use someone else's credit card?

Unfortunately, no, the name on your agreement must match the name on your credit card.
Can I get storage insurance through Storage Works?

All tenants are responsible for their own storage insurance. Storage insurance will insure the items in your storage unit against unforeseen accidents such as storms, break-ins, infrstructure failures, or other unforeseen emergencies.
Do I need to give notice before moving out?

We require all of our tenants a 30 day written notice before moving out of our facility. Please complete Form 04_Move-out Notice found in the menu under "MORE" - FORMS on our website. www.storageworks.online
